Dear Students, Staff, and Parents:
Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year where this year’s goal is “On the Fast Track to Success”! My commitment at Lenora B. Smith Elementary School is to provide a safe, positive, intellectual learning environment that will empower students to become creative problem solvers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners that will go to and through college. As I enter into my fourth year as principal, I would like to continue setting high expectations for our students in regard to academic performance within the classroom, as well as responsible citizens at school and in the community.
Last school year we made significant gains in improving test scores in all subject areas. We will continue to build upon those advances and increase student achievement. The Education Transformation Office (ETO) will support our school as we continue to improve student achievement. I am confident that we will soar to new heights.
I am excited for the opportunity to work with you and your child to provide a productive and safe learning environment that supports student success. It will take hard work, dedication and commitment to accomplish our goals and I have no doubt that we will conquer. Let’s work together as we are “On the Fast Track to Success!” for the 2022 – 2023 school year.
